Nearly Done

Our summer is warming up as the year draws to a close - what a year it has been! I am currently in Australia just for a couple of days to visit my Dad and other family, it is quite warm here in Queensland! The picture above is the view my Dad has - how delicious is that? He is well into his 90's and enjoying life.

I did manage a quick visit to quilt shop - they are such soothing places! Home again tomorrow and then I will be fully into having some open days at the Barn Studio and planning and preparing for next year. Christmas is coming up fast now so there is some preparation to do there as well - is it sounding a little hectic? I am sure I am not the only one with a busy schedule just now! I dream of sitting quietly at the sewing machine, maybe an audio book or podcast playing in my ears........dreams are free!

Next week I should know a little more about what is coming up!

At last! The GourmetQuilter Barn Studio is just about finished!

I would like to invite anyone who is interested to visit The GourmetQuilter Barn Studio just out of Greytown in the Wairarapa. We have been building the Barn this year and it is just about finished so I thought people may like to visit and check it out! We are living totally off-grid and so the facilities are also off-grid (there are public toilets located in Featherston and Greytown). 

This is a "pre-opening" of the studio. The open days are just before Christmas, 18th - 21st December 2024, Wed - Sat, 10am - 3pm each day.
Everyone is welcome to come and have a look - bring a friend, bring some stitching, have a cup of tea.......the GourmetQuilter Corner Store is in the Studio as well.
The address is: 1832a State highway 2, Greytown 5794. The Barn is red. We are approx. 4kms from Greytown on the Featherston side on a few acres.

I mentioned that I was thrilled to be a guest on The Quilt Show, hosted by Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. I had the most awesome time while I was there, meeting the hosts and film crew, also some other guests on the show as well.
